Our bespoke timber frames, crafted using traditional joinery methods, bring immediate warmth to a home or garden.

Oak & Fir

We predominantly work with Oak and Douglas-fir.  

• Traditional green oak frames are full of character, as they dry with twists and cracks.   Oak provides an unmatched level of longevity, curved beauty and strength. 

• Douglas-fir offers a warm and modern feel alternative. With its straighter grain it is easier to get hold of longer lengths, so longer spans can be achieved. It It is more dimensionally stable as it dries, so while it does crack it usually does not split as dramatically as oak.
