Using time honoured joinery methods our timber frames can create beautiful, light, airy, vaulted structures that will wow for years to come.

Oak & Fir

Creating both traditional and contemporary frames, we predominantly work with Oak and Douglas-fir.  

• Oak provides an unmatched level of longevity, curved beauty and strength. Traditional green oak frames are full of character, as they dry with twists and cracks.
• Douglas-fir is an excellent alternative. With its straighter grain it is easier to get hold of longer lengths, so longer spans can be achieved. It offers a warm and modern feel. It is more dimensionally stable as it dries, so while it does crack it usually does not split as dramatically as oak.

We work closely with our clients and architects to ensure a smooth journey from conception to completion.  We can offer timber frame new build homes, extensions, garden rooms, porches, carports, garages, pergolas.  In fact, if you can imagine it, we will work with you to design and bring your vision into reality.
